- Oakville Dads
2nd on the list but run with the same strong values as the BD’s. This intimate group of Oakville Dads created back in 2016 by Jeremy Sims, is a quickly growing group. If you’re looking for a more compact community where you can make your presence more known and are based in Oakville, this group of Oakville Dads is the right fit for you. It is a place to share memes amongst fellow dads or for sharing community events to mingle with other Oakville Dads. In any case, if you’re looking for great company that gives great advice, this is the community for you.
- Dads of Milton
The Dads of Milton (or The DoMs) is a community created in 2014 by James Secondino. They are a lively community of a thousand members and counting. The Dads of Milton represent four main tenets. According to their Facebook group banner:
Wellness – Being a dad can be tough. Let’s help each other out on our journey. Take advantage of our online resources, or join us at a wellness event.
Community – We’re all about giving back and helping our community get stronger. Let’s come together to help those who need it most. Business – Providing a platform for businesses and customers to find one another.
Social – Who says we can’t have fun along the way? Let’s get together often and enjoy each other’s company.

- Waterdown Area Dad’s group
For dads based in Waterdown, this is your go to community. Created in 2015 by Joel Moore and standing at 700 strong members, any query you might have about being a rookie dad will not go unanswered. There are bi-weekly promo threads on Wednesdays, for those who want to promote their businesses or to share their own self promo posts.
- Dad Central
Unlike the previous entries on the list, Dad Central is not a closed Facebook group for a specific area. Dad Central is a Canadian Non-Profit Organization open to Canadian fathers, regardless of their location. Dad Central has a lively community on Facebook however, being followed and liked by a thousand people. Their tagline, “Involved Dads Help Raise Great Kids” resonates with the kind of content they put out on their Facebook page. There are various posts about parenting that will surely be of great help to Dads just starting out on their journey of parenthood. Dad Central also hosts interactive online events wherein experts in the field of parenting share personal insights and stories to aid Canadian fathers be the best dad they can be for their children.
